but trust me on this one. This is one of the best beers I have ever had the pleasure of drinking. Rogue describes it as “A nutty twist to a traditional European Brown Ale. Dark brown in color with a hazelnut aroma, a rich nutty flavor and a smooth malty finish.”

I had some last week. Didn’t really like it. It wasn’t bad, but the hazelnut flavour just didn’t do it for me.
(from a bottle into a snifter, temp was about 9C/48F)
It’d be good in a beer float though.

This is my wife’s favorite Rogue beer! It’s great stuff.

agree - it’s a great brown, (Costco had in 22s up here for a while.) If you like this, also try Diamond Knot’s Brown. http://www.diamondknot.com/the-beer/alway…

I’m more of a Deschutes fan, but Rogue does make some good stuff. I just may have to sample a bit of this. For scientific purposes, of course.

Back when I drank alcohol, this was a go-to on more than a lot of occasions. Very, very good beer, for that matter there’s only one or two by Rogue I didn’t like out of a dozen or two sampled.

Agreed, great beer. Just don’t get the Voodoo doughnut ones, they are god awful. Gotta keep them seperated.

Are you from Portland? Do they sell Rogue elsewhere?
I’ve not been a big fan of Rogue but I did seek out the Sriracha ale they made. It wasn’t good to drink but I think it’ll be great for a beer batter, so I’ll have to get another bottle.
